Canterbury Christchurch University
Canterbury Christchurch is a modern, multi-campus university, and is the largest centre of higher education in Kent for the public services - notably teacher training, nursing, policing, health and social care. The University is considered among the best in the country for initial teacher training (recently rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted and ranked in England’s top ten for Education by The Complete University Guide).
Recognised nationally as a centre of excellence for teacher education and development, the Faculty of Education is one of the university’s leading academic units and offers a range of courses from foundation to doctorate level. Faculty staff are recognised for their skill in responding to school, college and individual needs and are actively helping to shape education practice, regionally and nationally, through research and teaching.
We have worked with the partner schools of the Swale Teaching School Alliance for over 20 years on the provision of initial teacher training and as an alliance partner we are providing:
- Initial Teacher Training (both for School Direct and traditional PGCE routes)
- Accredited CPD
- Masters Programmes
